I first wrote about Anna Vincent way back in 2005. I was fairly taken with her brand of guitar pop. Somewhere between then and now, Anna, has acquired a new band called My Tiger My Timing.Anna and her new band have also decided to dress up the quirky pop songs with an electro pop feel as beats and synths lead the way this time around and the overall sound is rather danceable. I think like it. It's just a bit of a direction change from when I last heard Anna.
It sometimes happens that you stumble across some good songs but nothing ever comes of the band and they disappear into the internet download abyss and this seemed to be the case here - but it seems you can't keep a good pop song down and I am glad I was sent the link to My Tiger My Timings my space as there are three songs for streaming on the page. I think my favourite of the three is 'I Can't Stop' - although all three are worthy of a listen. The band have a host of London dates coming up over the next month or so. I must try and catch one of the shows.
