Lonely Planet by Summer Cats is the latest 7" offering from Cloudberry Records and could well be the finest thing that label has released to date.This is a song which wants to get you straight onto the indie pop dance floor. All the essential ingredients are here from the girl/boy vocals, the organ, the hand claps, the guitars being in the right place at the right time and the oh so perfect length of the actual song! In short it's a brilliant pop record full stop!
Flip side Lazy Susan is also short and sweet evoking memories of a Postcard era Go Betweens but it fades from view when compared to the a-side despite being strong enough it it's own right. Tough luck Susan - Life's a beach eh?
