There’s a bit of a science theme that runs through the lyrics and topics include the tragedy that two similarly charged particles can never be close to each other, and a song about Évariste Galois who was a mathematician who lived his life like a rock and roll star.
When I saw them play live, they also performed a wonderful cover version of Some Candy Talking with scratchy violins building up in the background. It was as close to the original in spirit as you can get with an acoustic guitar and violin.
They are hopefully releasing something on Coventry’s excellent Tough Love Records in the near future. There’s a few songs on their website too, including La Pornographe which is a cover of a Georges Brassens song.

Hey, I took that photo! :-)
Completely fine with it being used and everything, just surprised to see it.
