The Vivian Girls are an all female three piece hailing out of Brooklyn, New York. The band have just released their self titled début album on limited edition vinyl format on the Mauled By Tigers label.

Based on the tracks I have heard this lot get the thumbs up from me. They remind me a bit of Chin Chin, Les Calamités, The Shop Assistants and for a more recent comparison Liechtenstein. Needless to say I have just ordered the album! If you are in the States check their My Space page as they seem to be doing a lot of gigging at present

There was also a new-wave/post-punk/art-rock band in Melbourne, Australia in 2000 named the Vivian Girls.

i absolutely LOVE this band! they are as great as great can be!
