Silverdrop

Silverdrop hail from a town in Norway called Akkerhaugen. They'll be playing at International Pop Overthrow in Liverpool on May 20th and 21st, along with a smorgasboard of approximately 170 other bands according to this page.

In July the band will be appearing at the Indietracks festival along with an impressive list of bands that readers of this blog will certainly know, and it's not entirely impossible that US citizens will meet them at Popfest! New England in November.

Formed by Bjørn Skjeslien in 2004, the band released their debut album, Kraka-Boom, in December 2006. Quite possibly they have a bad experience with women, with song names such as "Dig her grave" and "Drown her".

Here's a couple of MP3's for your listening enjoyment.

whoa... two songs and i'm a fan already. I love their sound. Any form of a CD i can get my hands on, or a place to at least listen to all of their songs?

The band readily admits that they suck at distribution, but they do have a CD out. The Cd is availeable here. Alternately
drop them a line at silverdropband @ gmail.com and I'm sure they'll reply promptly.
