The Hot Puppies

The Hot Puppies hooked me easily enough when I saw them live at the Notting Hill Arts Club last December, not least with a great song of theirs called "The King of England". I wish I could think of bass lines like that, and that bass player has a pretty cool bass to boot. The girls are also cute. But that bass is awesome!

The band will be releasing a new single on May 26th called "Somewhere". Apart from CD and download, it will be released on 500 copies of 7" vinyl. "Somewhere" can be streamed from the band's Myspace page, but here are a couple of cracking tunes from their 2006 album Under The Crooked Moon.
