Yesterday I wrote about The Tartans who will be releasing their début single on Yay Records. Also being released at the same time is Past Afar by Catwalk which is the follow up to last years Shiny Girl single which Trev reviewed here.Unlike the Tartans effort neither the single of any of it's flip sides are available for streaming on My Space but over the course of the five songs they do have available suggests the single will carry on in the same guitar pop vein with simply structured but melodic songs with that DIY ethos that connects so many indie pop bands today. This sort of music that you would have heard on those obscure tape compilations that came from Germany in the early 1990's but is now being revived to great effect many years later.
