I have waxed lyrical about The School enough times these past 18 months or so on indie mp3.I have previously described them as "Camera Obscura produced by Phil Spector"* and said of their music that "if John Waters ever directed a 1960's High School Prom movie then this would be the music he would have chosen to be on the soundtrack"
Both All I Wanna Do and Valentine have been with me since I first played the songs when The School was just Liz Love on her own. The songs have grown, like the band, since their demo form and blossomed when played live. Now, finally recorded, they are simply two of the loveliest slices of luscious pop tunes you are likely to hear this year. Or until their Slip EP is released in a couple of months time anyway.
