Update on Wan Light

I have been catching up with some bands I have lost track with in 2007.

One such band was Wan Light who have now left Labrador and have been recording new material.

Initially the band was flirting with dance music. Such tracks on My Space include the Moroder inspired Discoinsomnia and the deep house epic mix called ParaMaterial both of which I have been playing to death this past Christmas/New Year break.

However the last two tracks they have posted onto their My Space page sees the band heading, maybe reluctantly, to the style of music they released on Labrador that they are better known for. These two tracks (Lifeboat & Simco) are taken from an unreleased album called Summerset judging by their tags. The former is a fine piece of slow guitar based indie pop as you would wish to hear. Currently the band are seeking a new label to release the new recordings on.

Wan Light - Lifeboat
Wan Light - Simco
Wan Light - Discoinsomnia
Wan Light - ParaMaterial Deep Mix

Older Tracks:

Wan Light - That Grim Reality
Wan Light - Two Words Away
Wan Light - Landmarks and Houses
Wan Light - The Astronauts
