Another post in the occasional series of catching up with bands so they don't drop out of sight!Tesco Chainstore Mascara were one of a cluster of bands we came across on My Space last year alongside the likes of Bubblegum Lemonade and Strawberry Whiplash. Where as the latter two have now gone on to have or will have releases on Matinee Recordings it doesn't seem to have gone as swimmingly for the Mascara's.
A single was due for release in October on the Irish Simplistic Cow Records label but of that there is no sign nor is there any trace of the two compilations on Ascom Records they were going to contribute two tracks too. In fact both mentions of these releases have been removed form their My Space profile. I hope it's only a temporary setback because songs such as Just The Weight You Are and Sun's Shinin' For You deserve to be heard by all and sundry.

Hi there - David from Tesco Chainstore Mascara here. It looks like the single release on Simplistic Cow is not going to happen - you'd have to ask the owners why not! The compilations on Acosm are still on - Tony from Acosm has recently contacted me to let me know that these will be happening imminently. In the meantime, we have 2 new tracks that should be finished and uploaded very soon.
