The 10p Mixes

The 10p Mixes hail from St Helens (Liverpool) & Rotherham according to their My Space page. They consist of Danni (vocals) and Will (guitar) but are currently looking for a rhythm section.

They have four songs for streaming and I have to say I'm impressed. If the songs sound like this in their barest form how good are they going to sound when they get that rhythm section on board? This is lo-fi, and no doubt recorded in the bedroom or living room, indie pop and Danni's vocals are something else. In a parallel world I am sure she is winning their equivalent of pop idol quite comfortably.

Of the four songs Cashflow Crisis is my favourite and it's an urban tale of being skint and shopping in discount supermarkets. Aside from searching for that rhythm section the 10p Mixes are looking for venues to increase on the two gigs played to date and time to record some songs.

Stream the songs here.
