Stray Dog Cafe

Those that have read by posts over the years on Indie MP3 and my old site, Lostmusic.co.uk will know that I am sucker for gritty sounding indie bands (think Big Black, The Fall and Dawson). So it's no surprise that when I stumbled upon Stray Dog Cafe I was more than a little taken with their abrasive yet minimal guitar noise.

They describe themselves as an "Eclectic and inventive, the band's variety of musical modes are reminiscent of The Pixies and Shellac (angular and abrasive), The Fall and Country Teasers (incessant, humorous and just plain strange) as well as having a softer, more playful side. No wonder some may have missed the point."

The band also have a My Space where you can stream both sides of the bands 7" single "Maxamillion" is b/w "THEME: From Warlock".
