Snow Coloured Kid is the solo project of one Anssi Konttinen who hails from Kotka in Finland. Apparently he is influenced by bands like Weezer, Fountains of Wayne and The Posies. When doing a live show he is joined on stage by his friends, and he just released his first CD on Anorak Records in France.Of the 6 songs on the EP which I got in the mail the other day I'd say 3 songs are simply outstanding, and the rest ain't far behind. When I got permission to post one song here I faced a dilemma, but eventually chose the song my 11 year old foster-daughter hums along with the most.
This is top-notch pop music, I can imagine it being the soundtrack to some cheesy english romantic comedy starring that guy whose name I can't remember but starred in 4 Weddings and a Funeral.
