Little Name who is Liverpudlian Lee Barker, have released their debut album How To Swim and Live on Baltimore's Sleepy Records. The label have made two songs available for review in the shape of Orienteering and Nobody Loves You. I found the former a tad on the boring side but the latter is a fine piece of indie pop reminiscent of Belle & Sebastian with a Beatles influence in a melancholic way.
There are a couple of other tracks available on My Space. The instrumental A Life Such As Mine is very atmospheric whilst the title track also has the B&S/Beatles influence I liked on Nobody Loves You.
That said I am not sure that based on these tracks Little Name have enough to make themselves heard but these tracks are worth encroaching on anyone's listening time. If the whole album was available for review it may have been a different story if the songs were placed in their correct context.

Hi Tom,
Oops, I didn't know I was supposed to send mp3s for the whole CD...I also could have mailed a copy to you. I'm sorry, now I know for the future. :)

Ann - no worries. I just find that when you listen to one or two album tracks without the rest of them then something can be lost! I hope that makes sense. If you want to submit the album via mp3 or CD then let me know.
Sounds like Elvis Costello
