If you thought the subject of romantic comedies would be a duff choice of subject for a pop song then think again with the release of the latest single by Liverpool's The Wombats.Kill The Director is much more exciting than the topic suggests being a feisty pop song full of pace and rhythm with sounds plucked from every decade. It is delivered with the bands usual mix of wit and charm accompanied by chants of "this is not Bridget Jones" throughout! The video completes the rout with a send up of the film Notting Hill. Hugh who?

I just heard this song on BBC 1 and had to go out and look for the track. It's just fun, escapist pop at its best.
