I have been streaming The Loyal Trooper forthcoming 4 Quid With Flyer EP via My Space these past couple of days. Despite the daft name the band is growing on me. The Loyal Trooper is just the work of one man Andy Walker who expands the line-up for live gigs.It may sound strange but on these catchy songs I hear the fuzzy guitars of the Buzzcocks, the humour of Jilted John and strangely enough the drumming of Sultans of Ping! I guess that's down to my older ears but fans of Art Brut may well appreciate The Loyal Trooper. Dear Diary is the best song but is only available for streaming.
