We Expected by Scotland's The Hussys was originally a track on the bands self released Tiger EP. It has now been given a fresh lick of paint for their début release proper courtesy of Weekender Records.It's a feisty indie pop effort about a former colleague being rebuked. Singer Fili's vocals, which sound like Cerys Matthews in parts, are strong enough to catch anyone's attention if the music hadn't already.
Better still however is the more jangle/indie pop inspired Please Don't Call Me At Home with Fili pleading you not to come around because her embarrassing mother and father still live in the sixties!
A little gold nugget of a single. Track it down.
