Antarctica Takes It! hail from Santa Cruz, California. Apart from that and the information that you can pick up their 2006 album The Penguin League direct from them there is no more information about the band on their My Space page.The band make a brand of lo-fi music with influences ranging from jangle pop, folk, Scottish indie pop and dare I use that word again, twee. It is all very acceptable to the ear.
It seems that we are slow on the uptake about the band on this side of the pond as the only blog articles on them seem to be from across the pond. However they deserve to be heard here, there and everywhere!
