The Whip have moved on from their early New Order-ish inspired sound to one that is fully ingrained onto the dancefloor. Also gone is the electro clash style which made previous singles like Trash sound very dated.That said Divebomb, which in it's original mix takes elements of early 1980's electronica and uses them to great effect, sounds fresh as a daisy with it's bleeps and energetic rhythms. The Crystal Castles remix has a more updated beat to it and is headed right for a dancefloor burn-up, post haste.
Divebomb is scheduled for release on Kitsune Records on July 2nd 2007. The single can be streamed on My Space.
