La Famille Catastrophe

La Famille Catastrophe is the side project of Mutt Ramon's Simon Lancaster. It seems to be a lo-fi indie pop plan at present and he describes it as an outlet for his quieter, slower songs.

There are two demo tracks available alongside one live one. Not unsurprisingly it does sound like Mutt Ramon unplugged at present although as he is advertising for a singer for the project it may not do so for long. Outside is the most interesting of the three songs available. There is something about the vocals which makes this stand out for me.

La Famille Catastrophe - Outside

It's not the first side project from Mutt Ramon. There is also Muut Ramonia which is described as "the electronic brother of the indie Mutt Ramon". It's also becoming my favourite! There are no songs to download but there are four to stream. Check out I Come Round Your House which is pretty good. Hopefully there will be something to download soon.
