The Wedding Present will be playing a series of concert dates in October 2007 to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the release of their debut album, George Best. For the British leg of the tour the band will revisit each of the towns played on the original George Best tour of 1987. Furthermore, the album will be played in its entirety as part of the set each night.October 2007

The thing that kills me is the 'part of the set' bit, suggesting that they're going to rip through George Best and play extra material. It's wonderful, and I'm going to have to buy a train pass or something.
It would be very David Gedge-y if the other songs played in the set were all he original b-sides to the George Best-era singles.
I bloody love that album! Think they'll hit the States or Mexico? A lad can hope...
A bit like the 'Don't Look Back' thing they did last year ?
Do you know who is selling the tix? There's no mention of it on the Koko site...
