Something For the Weekend?

Gothenburg's The Honeydrips have four songs for streaming on their My Space page. Two are pretty sweet tunes of the lo-fi variety whilst the others are dance remixes of a song called My Apologies. Ah Karolin is my favourite with some splendid words and instruments I cannot place.

Komon is the alias of Brighton based, but soon to be Berlin bound, Swede Antonia Pehrson. Her music is lo-fi with plenty of casio beats and fruity loops thrown in as and when required. On her quieter moments her voice is reminiscent of Amelia Fletchers' especially on the Talulah Gosh like Are We Friends. Sadly the downloads do not seem to work so head to Komon's My Space page to stream or have better luck than I did!

Powerpopaholic is a new, well to me anyway, blog which writes about, erm, power pop! There are reviews and recommendations which may or not, as the case may be, interest you. It's over there.

Finally Ally has posted some tracks from her old label Sombrero's archive. These include tracks from Bob and The Siddeleys. Head here to listen and/or download.

I am off to see Butcher Boy tonight and dj'ing tomorrow so have a good weekend one and all.
