53rd & 3rd #2 - The Househunters

The Househunters were Jowe Head and friends. Head started in The Swell Maps before playing bass with the Television Personalities for ten years (1984-94). Whilst with them he had a range of side projects of which The Househunters were just one.

The band released three singles and one album. However only two were on 53rd & 3rd. These were Cuticles (1986) and Cooler Than Thou (1987).

Head also played with 53rd & 3rd founder member Stephen McRobbie on a number of Pastels records. He has a My Space page here.

Head is now an artist but is also continuing making records. His last album was the Jowe Head from a Parallel Universe released last year. You can order it here. Two tracks can be streamed here.

Holy crap, I have been looking for Cuticles for more than 20 years! A friend put this and "Shopping City" on a cassette and naturally, that cassette eventually blew up. I found the full-length LP in Los Angeles years later, but it was just not complete without this song - so THANK YOU!
