The Festive 50 2006

Internet station Dandelion Radio are now broadcasting the Festive 50 for 2006. The station decided to carry on the tradition after Radio One decided against one for 2006 and John Peels old Programme Team asked them to do so. I cannot tell you what the top 50 actually is as licensing restrictions means the station cannot publish play lists until the following month. However I guess someone will scribe them soon - I hope they do!

Licensing laws puzzle me. I seem to remember radio 1 being able to publish playlists as they happen. Weird.

I have the list now! After listening to the whole thing this morning! Not sure whether I should post it or not....... seems a bit cheeky - seeing as dandelion have to wait until February.

Regarding publishing tracklistings ... I think BBC doesn't have to comply to the same rules.
The problem we face is that the licence says that we cannot post listings in advance of the show playing ... and we have the show repeating once or twice a day for the whole month - so it seems to mean that we cannot publish until the show finishes its run.
Anyway - it makes it a bit more interesting for listeners if they don't know what to expect.
