The Tacticians - Boys Not Lagging Behind!

The Tacticians have already been responsible for one of the best debut singles of the year so far with London's Alright and to prove it was no fluke they have got better with the follow up Girls Grow Up Faster Than Boys.

With a title like that you may think they may sound like the Smiths and there is more than a hint of Morrissey's song writing around. However the best way to describe the band is as an urban folk band. It's amazing how much can be packed into just over three minutes - harmonies, a catchy chorus, a great story and a theme we can all identify with or, as is the case with me, remember about!

The AA side Get A Move On is apparently a northern soul inspired track but it far surpasses any genre boundary constraints placed upon it and I found it reminding me of The La's with it's infectious hooks and attention grabbing vocals.

The band launch the single at London's Fly on November 8th. The single is out now on Dancing Giraffe.
