Something For The Weekend?

Both Fire Escape Talking and The Rain Fell Down blogs have posted their reviews of the C86 event that took place last Saturday night.

The Mary Onettes released their debut single for Labrador earlier this week. You can stream the whole EP here, buy the CD direct from Labrador or buy it in mp3 from Klicktrack.

Wanlight have posted some new work in progress tracks on their My Space page. They have also more or less finished their next album. However the band have recently left Labrador and are without any deal at present and are looking for a new label and management. The new tracks are heading intro a new dancier direction and I like their track Discoinsomnia which is an ode to Giorgio Moroder.

Talking of Swedish bands with a disco beat Shade Tree also have more new tracks up on My Space. Killing Time is my fave, it's very Rae & Christian like. Maybe Sweden is going through it's own indie dance phase!

Finally just time to tell you about a new blog called indie pop ain't noise pollution. No music tracks posted as of yet but some interesting reading!
