Well, thanks again to Mira El Pendulo for introducing me to spine-tingling and toe-tapping pop music, this time from Norway. The Ethnobabes are indeed the not-so-distant relatives of the Swedish Cardigans, and their song "My Favorite Fool" bears a striking resemblance to The Cardigan's "Life" album, albeit at triple the speed and with a dash of distortion added.Described by one critic as "a candy fanatic's dream, a teeth-rotting, cute-sounding female pop band", they're masterpiece seems to be 2002's full-lenght album Stargazer. Their last release was on the norwegian label Perfect Pop in december 2005 and I sincerely hope they will continue to make more delicious popsongs in the future.

One more Ethnobabes song, as well as a handsome selection of mp3's by other Perfect Pop bands can be found here.
