I has always wondered why the UK has not produced a band in the same vein as the All Girl American Summer Fun Band - I guessed it was the weather. However it looks like it now is a reality in the shape of Bristol based Colliding Lemons. The band claim numerous influences which each of the five band members have brought with them including the likes of Blondie, The Pixies, The Donnas etc. I also hear the echoes of Bristol's musical history via Sarah Records coming through especially the more jangly guitar pop that label put out in it's early years. There are also elements of various aspects of girl groups from down the ages from the likes of The Modettes and the girl sounds of the sixties.
Whether it rains or shines I guess you can call them the All Girl British Winter Fun Band!
The band have not released anything as of yet nor do they have a website or any downloads. However head to My Space page to hear their fun packed tunes.
The band are playing Purr in Bath on December 15th.

Speaking of AGSFB, we have our Dutch equivalent too. I thought you might like them.
