The Tamborines released their new single Sally O'Gannon b/w Be Around on the new Sonic Cathedral label earlier this week according to their website. The band, originally from Brazil are now London based.I have not heard the single version but I am familiar with the demo versions which can be downloaded from the bands site. The bands sound is like Spacemen Three clashing with the Jesus and Mary Chain in a garage bar. Seriously! Sally O'Gannon has been a favourite of mine since getting hold of their demo late last year. It's a fantastic song and I hope the single release does it justice.
The bad news is that I cannot find it on sale anywhere so I presume the release has been set back. I will keep you posted.
