NE Popfest 2006 #20 - Panda Riot

Panda Riot, like all proper bands, make use of a drum-machine, a Fender Jazzmaster and a death-metal pedal...for their keyboard! Sprinkle on top with a breathy soprano voice and you have a shoegaze band that could eat My Bloody Valentine for breakfast.

Brian Cook and Rebecca Scott formed the band in july 2005 while working on the soundtrack to a documentary on marine biology. I wish more documentaries had soundtracks like this.

Panda Riot - She dares all things
Panda Riot - Plateau

There's more music to be streamed from their Myspace page, and you can watch a video for "Paper Airplanes" on Youtube.
