Truck Discoveries #003 - The Priscillas

I was aware of The Priscillas due to their Gonna Rip Up Your Photograph single but this particular discovery was down to how good the Priscillas were live.

Imagine, if you will, the plot of the fly. Instead of Jeff Goldblum and a bluebottle (okay I am using the re-make here) merging in the machine swap them for The Ramones, Cramps and Shangri La's and you may get an idea of the bands sound.

Live they simply erm, rocked. Lead singer Jen was one of the most charasmatic front-person of any bands I have seen. She certainly knew how to play the crowd and photographers having all and sundry eating out of hands. The rest of the band (Guri, Mavis and Kate) all had smiles on their faces and were obviously enjoying the gig unlike some of the other miserable bastards appearing on the same stage over the weekend. Go and see them. It's good fun!

I cannot find any of the bands songs for downloading although you can stream them via their My Space page.

Ahh, I saw the Priscillas supporting the Damned (of all people) last year, and they did indeed rock.
