From the latest Cherry Red newsletter. I cannot find any details on the actual site but it's due for release in August. Also released is the Darling Buds 'Pop Said' (CDMRED 305.) Originally from South Wales, the band released one self financed single and were picked up by indie label Native. After two further singles they were signed by Sony imprint Epic and in the January 1989 released their debut long-player ‘Pop Said’ which reached No 23 in the National album charts. The album contains the four hit singles ‘Let’s Go Round There’, ‘Burst’, ‘Hit The Ground’ & ‘You’ve Got To Choose’ as well as 9 bonus tracks.
If you want a time capsule then buy this album!

This is being re-released? You've just made my day! I haven't heard this album in about 12 years, I have no idea what happened to my old copy. Yay!
I love your blog, by the way.
This is fantastic news. I remember watching 'It's All Up To You' on The Chart show and then seeing them do 'Hit the Ground' on TOTP six months later. I kinda re-discovered them through The Rough Trade Indiepop 1 compilation and have been buying a lot of their stuff secondhand ever since. (Paid £6 for a copy of this on vinyl two months ago. Definitely worth it).
