NE Popfest 2006 #7 - Bunnygrunt

Bunnygrunt's music has many characteristics of the so-called Twee-pop, yet the band apparently dislikes being labeled as such. Twee or not, their songs are short, simple and somewhat childish. The band was formed in 1993 and released their first album in 1995. The second album saw the light of day in 1998 and then promptly dissapeared from sight until a song of theirs appeared in the soundtrack to the movie Bad Santa in 2003.

To celebrate the movies release the band reformed to play a house party, and then there was no way back, again. 2005 saw the release of their third album on Happy Happy Birthday to Me Records.

I simply can't find an mp3 with the band on the internet, and they don't have an official website. Even hhbtm don't have any info on the band at all, so I considered myself lucky to find a fan page on MySpace devoted to them, to which you can head and stream four songs. Enjoy!

There's excellent info on them to be found on Wikipedia also.
