A Real Life Drama is the follow up to last years The Best Is Yet To Come by The Swedish Band The Charade and boy they were not kidding. It opens with the wonderful My Song To You which sets a benchmark for the rest of the album which passes with flying colours. Dressed In Yellow & Blue could well be the best known song on the album especially as this unofficial world cup anthem was recently voted the best Swedish World Cup song in Expressen which is biggest newspaper in that country. Don't You Know That A Goal Can Change Your Life sings Ingela and the rest of the album finds the back of the net as consistent as any in-form striker. The songs are blissful and focus on love, life, and relationships. The lyrics, which are sung beautifully by Ingela, are so simple but quite tender in their own sweet, and dare I say it, twee way.
Listening to the ten songs here is like a bowlie kid being let loose in the indie-pop sweetshop. 30 minutes of pure pop candy!
