Sarandon are pretty unusual in that rather than go for the jangle aspect of C86 like most (and why not, it's great!) they have gone for the Ron Johnson sound instead invoking memories of the likes of A Witness and The Shrubs. And boy does it work. This stuff is incredibly catchy and exciting.Members of the band have been in other outfits such as The Colgates, The Ambassadors Of Sorrow and The Reverse. They currently have a seven track 7" mini album out on Wrath Records, which is worth a look at itself, called June Bride which does actually include an appearance by Phil Wilson! There are also contributions from Alan from Big Flame as well.
