Roadside Poppies

Roadside Poppies is the one man band project of Cambridge based Matloob. He describes his music as songs about summer, flowers, cycling and falling in and out of love - the usual indie pop fare.

These songs are charmingly naive with some unintentionally funny lyrics (I hope that's what they are!) and remind me of Pocketbooks who I wrote about earlier this year. The singing does not connect with the music at times especially on An Apology (In The Key Of C). However these are early workings and hint at some good things to come. Which is good news indeed as the sun is finally shining on London Town today!

He is after putting a band together and is after a female vocalist to sing on some of the songs and you can contact him via his website if you think you fit the bill.
