Lucky Soul - Lips Are Unhappy

With their second single Lucky Soul have delivered an extremely addictive song which builds up, bursting into life whilst dripping unashamely from the Phil Spector, 1960's Girl bands and motown influences. When Ali Howard sings "shake shake, shimmy shimmy" you will just want to get up and onto the dancefloor - it's a stomper I tell you!

The flip side Baby I'm Broke is a gentler affair in the manner of likes of Dusty Springfield. You can picture the band playing it downstairs in one of London's smoke filled clubs circa 1960.

Almost an instant classic!
