Following on from yesterday's Shop Assistants post there are more tracks available to download on the excellent Let's Kiss And Make Up blog. More about them here and here. It's amazing that a band such as The Shoppies still generate attention today. I'm still not sure about the rumours of the bands reformation for the 20th anniversary of c86. In any case it's all gone quiet on that front after the news in Uncut earlier this year. Keeping C86 alive, cough....Cherry Red are re-releasing Leicester Square - The Best Of Yeah Yeah Noh. Their off shoot Rev-Ola are relasing a new album by The BMX Bandits. Titled My Chain it features the bands first ever female vocalist. Cherry Red is a good source of music for the c86 fan. This year alone has seen compilations/reissues by The Loft, The Servants, The Chesterfields, The Subway Organisation and The Flatmates to name but a few. LTM is another excellent re-issue label and there have been recent releases featuring The Orchids, The Room and Benny Profane.
The Carrots, the band with a mean sixties girl band fixation, have two new songs available for streaming via their My Space page.
I have noticed that I, Ludicrous are still going. Best known for the only flexi ever to make the Festive 50 in the shape of Preposterous Tales the band have played a few dates in London recently. Even better news is that the band are selling CDR's of their first two albums along with extra tracks. You can buy direct from the bands site. That's preposterous Ken!

Thanks for the very kind words about my blog Tom :) Much appareciated, Colin (LKAMU)
