Don't You Know A Goal Can Change Your Life?

It's here, the greatest show on earth kicks off in Germany today and will not be resolved for another month when I predict that Argentina we beat Italy in the Berlin final. I love the world cup especially for all the optimism will have in England - sorry ING-GER-LUND - with cars flying tacky little flags! I don't love xenophobia somehow being presented as acceptable in the tabloid newspapers when it comes to our opponents. The same papers also declare that we are unbeatable. Until, that is, the Germans beat us on penalties - again.England have got a good team, especially in midfield, but there seems to be a mentality problem in the top games under the departing Sven Erickson. I expect us to either reach the last 8 or 4. However I hope we see Robocrouch celebration at some point. The 6 ft 7" striker is now a national treasure after his robot dance in two recent friendlies where he has scored. How fickle are we as a nation?
Anyway, as a diversion away from the usual fayre on indie mp3, here are some football related songs from the past. On a side note there were 30, yes 30, world cup songs released in England these past few weeks - and all crap no doubt!
New Order - World In Motion (1990 World Cup)
New Order and Keith Allen - World In Motion (Live At Glastonbury 2005)
Baddiel, Skinner & The Lightning Seeds - Three Lions (1998 World Cup Version)
England United (Bunnymen & The Spice Girls!) - World At Our Feet (2002 World Cup)
Soccer Songs - Hey Baby - England World Cup Remix (2002 World Cup)
I have entered this competition picking Argentina, Portugal, Ukraine, Switzerland, Serbia and USA. Oh, I have got Ukraine in the office sweepstake.
More tracks from other countries tomorrow. Thanks to Jurgen for the contributions.
Additions:
Warning: Police Chief warns do not fly the English flag in Wales.
And here is The Charade with the unofficial Swedish World Cup song Dressed In Yellow & Blue. Sweden are in England's group (again) and England have not beaten The Swedes in years. I cannot really worry about that statistic with all the glorious indie-pop coming out of that country.

Hi, Why didn't you include 'Back Home' by the England World Cup Squad of yesteryear. I'm sure it's most appropriate as they'll be 'Back Home' sooner than they think!
Because i haven't got it!!!
