The Frenchmen

There has been nowt from The Frenchmen since 2004's Sorry We Ruined Your Party album. The website has not been updated since around this time and i'm wondering if they have called it a day. However if you have not heard of them there are still tracks available on their site icluding a cover of Talulah Gosh's Steaming Train. You will need to get hold of the album to hear their version of The Flatmates Tell Me Why. The band stay truthful to the 1980's jangle pop sound and the album is an indie pop classic.

hi & thanks for the props! alas, the frenchmen are indefinitely on hold as i have moved to LA for medical school, and niki & leon are expecting their firstborn indie pop love child sometime this fall! ... leon is currently playing in the sacramento pop band baby grand, and charles is playing in several other bands including rock the light and the mega cools. i have also been making music here and there with julian of winterbrief but who knows whether that project will ever see the light of day.

thanks again for the writeup & for fanning the indie pop flame...

    best,
    amy p.
    xoxo

ps i don't know if you mentioned it but there is also a frenchmen 7" ("powdered blue") available on Shelflife records
