The Indie Pop World (Vol 1)

This is a post I originally posted on Take Your Medicine whilst "blog sitting" recently and which generated a few e-mails back in my direction so I thought I would post it here too especially as a second volume will soon be in the offering via this blog.

If you are interested I also wrote two other posts for TYM. One was called Sweden - It's The New Black! whilst the other post covered mainly US indie pop bands. The former will be used as a basis for a Brazilian Radio broadcast and I will post more details about this as and when I receive them.
_____

If you, liked many others, picked up the Rough Trade indie-pop 1 compilation a couple of years back you would be forgiven to think that indie-pop was just a UK and US phenomenon. Apart from an act each from Spain & Sweden there were no other clues to how global indie pop is. I have put together a compilation with indie-pop artists from Asia to South America and back again. Oh and Sweden! Enjoy.
