The Fire Engines Single Release

Whilst stocking up on my 7" vinyl in Rough Trade the other day I noticed that Domino Records have released the John Peel session versions of Candyskin and Discord by The Fire Engines. The original versions were released in 1981 and I have posted them previously. Well worth picking up and as I have previously mentioned you can hear where Franz Ferdinand have picked up some of their tricks. You can buy it from here. The band will also be playing the Triptych Festival later this month.

A must have download is an issue of State Of Play which covers the band in far greater depth then I could ever wish to do. It's a 3mb downlaod but well worth it. Download it from here.
