Talking of Christmas the Sheffield Phonographic Corporation have a series of free Christmas mp3 downloads availble from the likes of The Long Blondes, Pete Green and Velodrome 2000 amongst others. However my favourite is Ormondroyd's cover of Jona Lewie's Stop The Cavalry.

The John Merrick Experience are a French band playing a brand of electronica inspired indie pop. They have no website or even downloads as yet but you can stream two of their songs at My Space.
Also on My Space are the Indonesian indie-pop band Pure Saturday who released their third album Elora in 2005. I really like the track Desire from their first release which is very poppy in a Beatlesque way and I will have to make my way through the other tracks on offer including those from Elora.

Letting Up Despite Great Faults have a beautiful sound mixing both digital and analog implements which remind me of Hefner and Seefeel. They also have some great song titles too.
