Well i've finally fixed the problems that have been bugging the blog for IE users. The main problem was the referrers script from True Fresco which kept pushing the side menu down to the bottom of the blog because IE, not recognising web standards, is not intelligent enough to adjust table width correctly which the likes of Firefox and Opera can easily do. This occurred if the referring page had a long url.
I also had to fix the CSS on the main site as for some reason IE was not adjusting the font colours correctly as per the CSS file. And they think IE 7 is going to solve anything?
It's a shame as I will no longer be able to see the referrers to the page which I enjoyed doing. Or should I say stuff it to the IE users and put it back?
If you didn't know the excellent Opera Browser is now free although i'm wondering if they are gunning for Firefox rather than IE. Which would be a shame.

you could put the referal script in the footer, or create a footer, or put it at the bottom of the page
i'm sure there's some sort of trick involving maximum width or something, and since IE users are the majority you can't really leave them out
Thanks for that suggestion Mike I will have a look. If you remeber the trick please let me know. And sadly yes IE users are the majority although with HP now placing Netscape 8 on their new PC's their may be another small dent!
