French Disco, who may have named themselves after a Stereolab song, hail from San Francisco and describe themselves as "the type of dream pop that sounds like Would-Be-Goods gone shoegaze". The band have released their debut EP titled "Twilight Idols" from which the following two songs are taken. "Idoles du Soir" certainly is dreamy affair, almost cineramic for the most part whilst "A Picture of Arthur Bacon" demostrates the versatility of the band with it's driving, shimmering and almost hypnotic beat.
