A Jaw Dropping Moment

A new blog, the latest in the increasing line of preserving John Peel shows has appeared. Titled, somewhat unoriginally, The John Peel Tape and File Project it has amongst it's downloads a show broadcast in January 1986. I am pretty sure this is the show where I first heard the Shop Assistant's "Safety Net" which stopped me dead in my tracks.

As well as tracks by the Mekons and The Wedding Present he also describes Half Man Half Biscuit as the most important band in Northern Europe!

It takes me back some years I can tell you - download it from here.
