Teen Anthems is a compilation of artists that appeared on the Sonic Art Union label, whom all seem to be the work of one John William Davies. I have been playing the album since it popped through my door (thanks John!) Some of it is great, especially the Helen Love inspired indie pop of Teen Anthems and Supercute. Some of it is awful - this is down to the comedy based happy hardcore of The Steps Pistols.
My favourite tracks are "I Hate Oasis (And I Hate The Beatles) and "What A Girl Wants". I admire the spirit of this album and I think 15 tracks in 30 minutes tells it's own story. Fast, fun, furious and good as long as you press skip on the Step Pistols tracks.
The album is available from the Teen Anthems shop for £11 and they accept Paypal. The Supercute single "Jamie Theakston" can be bought at Damaged Goods.
