Sultans Of Ping FC were an Irish band that appeared during the early 1990's. They released a few singles and a couple of albums, the best known being the catchy debut single "Where's Me Jumper?" which no doubt some of you pogo'ed too in the clubs many moons ago (ok just me then). The band scored a minor hit or two in the UK Charts and you can read more about them on these excellent pages.

If those tracks have whetted your appetite head here to download most of the singles and two albums.

Bloody hell i wrote them off as novelty after that jumper thing, but some of this is really rather good!
Cheers!
What's with the take on New Model Army's "Smalltown England" at the beginning? Don't think I'm hearing things... Liked it though. Other stuff as well.
I thought I was the only one to love this band. Cheers for bringing them back to the public attention again.
Now if you can just dig up some Toasted Heretic for me I'll be truly a happy bunny.
They're touring in 2005! The Phoenix FM website has a good interview with Niall. Not sure of the link, ask Mr Google.
It's at http://www.phoenixfm.com/boa
Thanks like!
