Compute is one Ulrika Mild who hails from Sweden. Ulrika makes what she describes as lo-fi synthpop. It's certainly that and much more. With a hint of Clinic, and in some cases 80's synthpop about her, the tracks available on her download page make enjoyable listening.
"Dance With Me" is the lead track from her recently released EP on Freedom Road Records. I found it to be be very raw and in your face so you had better accept her offer of a dance before she gets pissed off! "Turn Your Head" is a much mellower affair and set me off drifting in space.
Compute are playing in London at the "Wired Women" night at the Spitz, Old Spitalfields Market in London on the 31st of March. I for one may be there.
