Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds

I saw Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds last night. An enjoyable show only ruined by the acoustics at the Brixton Academy. Why is this venue considered to be London's best? The place was rammed so no surprise to learn that he is playing there again tonight and tomorrow.

The backing gospel singers were superb. The first part of the show was playing tracks from the current albums "Abattoir Blues" & "The Lyre of Orpheus" whilst the encore, sorry second part of the show was dedicated to the older stuff. All in all splendid stuff.

A bumper crop of mp3's thanks to espew.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Into My Arms
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - The Weeping Song
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - I Let Love In
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Red Right Hand
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Stagger Lee

An Idiots Guide To Dreaming have also been to see Cave. A good review too!

Just discovered your blog courtesy of Lonesome Music. Thanks for the Nick Cave. I expect I'll be back often. I've linked to you from my blog (Enchilada's Blog). It's not an mp3 blog per se, but I like to alert folks to great discoveries I've made in my ramblings thru the world of music blogs. Drop by some time.

You clown. EMI are going to come and get you.

Well anonymous - don't you admire the brave people who hide behind that when they leave insulting comments?

Anyway if you used your brain instead of posting a reactionary comment you would see that I have not actually posted the mp3 tracks - just linking to them as found via espew. If you read my post you would have seen that.

    Who is the Clown now?

Save your breathe for blowing up your girlfriend, Tom.

You are still taking money out of Nick's mouth.

And you are still bloody rude - why? Hasn't it occurred to you that people may download the tracks, like them and go out and buy said albums?

So you have never made a tape compilation for yourself or friends (that's if you have any judging by your communication skills) as against downloading an mp3. If you say no I say that you are lying. It's the same thing. It encourages the majority of people to buy music just like a sampler on a magazine.

I am also sure Nick Cave is glad that he has such an articulate and witty person such as yourself for a fan. Also post your name next time.

Oh by the way I forgot to add it is not illegal to post links to mp3's that are already on the net. Take up the problems you have with Espew.

Ok, sorry for being rude. sometimes i can't help myself, and, of course, it's easy to do when you are hiding behind an anonymous post, as I still am. I am very new to the digital format and this MP3 blog of yours (which I really like - your last comment cracked me up) is the second one i've visited (after cocaine blunts and hip hop tapes - a blog from NYC). Before yesterday, all the downloads in my collection that weren't from CDs (all bought - no copies) had come from itunes and I had paid for them. Now I have some from Cocaine Blunts and some from your site (via Espew, as you say). I work in the music industry and i suppose my initial post to you was born out of how shocked I was at how easy it is to download music for free. It didn't seem to matter so much to me when it was obscure hip hop artists liks The Mac and Goodie MOb (via Cocaine Blunts) having their intellectual property disregarded in this way, but when it was an artist I know, I was shocked; although this didn't stop me going ahead and downloading all the songs you were linking to, except Into My Arms, which I had already bought from itunes, which I think demonstrates why, I would like to respectfully argue, that your argument is an empty one. I will now, I am sure, like all my friends who donwload from illegal sites, no longer buy songs from itunes when I can get them from free. Why would I? Why would anybody else? I know this makes me a hypocrite after accusing you of stealing money from Nick but that's for my conscience to wrestle with I suppose.
